Stereophonic premiered Off-Broadway at Playwrights Horizons on October 6, 2023, before transferring to Broadway in April 2024. The play written by David Admji and directed by Daniel Aukin received critical acclaim, with comparisons drawn to the real-life band Fleetwood Mac and its 1977 album Rumors. The play features original music written by Will Butler from the rock band Arcade Fire, performed live by the cast.

The off-Broadway cast featured Will Brill, Sarah Pidgeon, Chris Stack, Tom Pecinka, Juliana Canfield, Andrew R. Butler, and Eli Gelb - who all transferred to Broadway with the production.
