The musical follows Evan Goldman after he moves from New York to small-town Indiana after his parents’ divorce. In a bid to make friends, he resolves to throw the best Bar Mitzvah ever. Variety said, “The songs, by Jason Robert Brown, have an irresistible “Rent” Jr. effervescence, with a hip-hop flow to several of them, and they reel you in. These kids can sing and really dance.”

Hairspray

This adaptation of the Broadway hit follows teenager Tracy Turnblad as she lands a spot on a popular dance tv show and rallies against racial segregation and sizeism in Baltimore in the 1960s. It stars Nikki Blonsky, John Travolta, Christopher Walken, Queen Latifah, Zac Efron, Brittany Snow, Elijah Kelly, Jerry Stiller, Amanda Bynes and James Marsden.
