About Oh, Mary!
Oh, Mary! is created by Cole Escola who also originated the role of Mary Todd Lincoln, famous first lady and widow. Here we see her in the lead-up to Lincoln’s assassination as she struggles with alcoholism and dreams of becoming a cabaret star. Time Out New York gave it a 5-star review and said, “Cole Escola’s gleefully irreverent comedy is the funniest play in years… Oh, Mary! is not just funny: it is dizzyingly, breathtakingly funny, the kind of funny that ambushes your body into uncontained laughter.”
The current cast includes: Meg Stalter, Phillip James Brannon, Barrett Foa, Hannah Solow, and Ryo Kamibayashi.
“Sensational...you’ll be losing your mind with joy.”
The New York Times “Cole Escola's gleefully irreverent comedy is the funniest play in years.”
Time Out New York “80 minutes of almost uninterrupted laughter...a work of genius.”
