About the Show

Oh, Mary! is created by Cole Escola who also originated the role of Mary Todd Lincoln, famous first lady and widow. Here we see her in the lead-up to Lincoln’s assassination as she struggles with alcoholism and dreams of becoming a cabaret star. Time Out New York gave it a 5-star review and said, “Cole Escola’s gleefully irreverent comedy is the funniest play in years…Oh, Mary! is not just funny: it is dizzyingly, breathtakingly funny, the kind of funny that ambushes your body into uncontained laughter.”

The current cast includes: John Cameron Mitchell, John-Andrew Morrison, Simu Liu, Jenn Harris, and Tony Macht.

Maya Rudolph takes over the role of Mary on April 28, 2026.
