About the Show
Maybe Happy Ending is a dazzling new romantic musical comedy about the small things that make life worth living.
Set in Seoul, South Korea, Maybe Happy Ending introduces audiences to Oliver, a Helperbot 3—a once popular but now obsolete robot, now resigned to his quiet life in a tiny apartment where he spends his days in solitude listening to music and caring for his favorite house plant. When his neighbor Claire, a fellow Helperbot, knocks at his door looking for a charger, the awkward encounter sparks an unexpected connection. Oliver and Claire form a unique friendship that takes them on a surprising adventure where they explore love, identity, and belonging.
Winner of the Richard Rodgers Award and the Korean Musical Award, Maybe Happy Ending features a book, music, and lyrics by Will Aronson and Hue Park, with direction by Tony Award winner Michael Arden (Parade, Once on This Island) and dazzling scenic design by Tony Award nominee Dane Laffery (A Christmas Carol, Once on This Island). The production also showcases stunning lighting design by Ben Stanton and video design by George Reeve.
Emmy and Golden Globe Award winner Darren Criss (Glee, American Crime Story, Hedwig and the Angry Inch) and Helen J. Shen (The Lonely Few) star as Oliver and Claire.
Don’t miss this critically acclaimed production lighting up the Belasco Theatre. Maybe Happy Ending will make you laugh, cry, and fall in love with this new timeless story.
