Punch

James Graham’s Punch, directed by Adam Penford, begins performances at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre on September 9 following its acclaimed London run. Inspired by Jacob Dunne’s memoir Right from Wrong, the play tells the story of a young man whose split-second decision one night leads to prison time. As Jacob confronts his past, he searches for a way to rebuild his future. Graham, an Olivier Award–winning playwright, is no stranger to Broadway, with previous credits including the musical Finding Neverland and the play Ink.

Hudson-Theatre

Waiting for Godot

Samuel Beckett’s Waiting for Godot, directed by Jamie Lloyd, begins previews at the Hudson Theatre on September 13, 2025, starring Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter. This legendary play follows two companions as they await the mysterious Godot. Known for acclaimed productions such as Sunset Boulevard, Betrayal, and Cyrano, Lloyd brings his distinctive vision to Beckett’s masterpiece, making it one of the most anticipated revivals of the season.

John Proctor is the Villain at the Booth Theatre

John Proctor is the Villain 

John Proctor is the Villain was nominated for seven Tony Award including the award for Best Play. Written by Kimberly Belflower and directed by Danya Taymor, the play began performances in March 2025 and was originally set to close in June but has been extended multiple times after its positive reviews and word of mouth. This comedy about a group of high schoolers reading The Crucible while dealing with their own problems closer to home is finally closing in September, so get tickets while you can! This heralded show has won two Drama Desk Awards, three Dorian Awards, two Outer Critics Circle Awards, and has been nominated for many more. Variety said, “‘John Proctor Is the Villain’ is the best play of the season, but even more significantly, it is a feminist masterpiece sure to become one of the defining works of art from and about the #MeToo era.”
