About Two Strangers Carry a Cake Across New York
Straight from the West End comes a new, original musical about…well, two strangers carrying a cake across New York. Dougal is in New York City for the first time to attend his estranged father’s wedding. Robin, the bride’s sister, picks him up from the airport. What follows is an unexpected story of chance encounters, wedding cake, and the magic of the Big Apple.
The New York Times calls this musical “effervescent… this twinkly two-hander delivers lavishly on the promise of a rom-com: laughter, escape and fantasy.” With book, music, and lyrics by Jim Barne and Kit Buchan, direction from Tim Jackson, and starring Sam Tutty and Christiani Pitts, Two Strangers is a romantic comedy destined to charm even the most cynical of audiences. You’ll fall in love with the two leads – and with New York City.
“The effervescent musical, a new London import, delivers lavishly on the promise of a rom-com: laughter, escape and fantasy.”
Laura Collins-Hughes “We’ve got a brand new Broadway star. His name is Sam Tutty...he's hilarious, Shirley Temple endearing, and effortlessly magnetic.”
Johnny Oleksinski
