Theater History

Studio 54 is located in the same site as the former famous disco nightclub of the same name. It is operated by the Roundabout Theatre Company and recent productions include The Minutes, The Sound Inside, Latin History for Morons, and She Loves Me.

James Monroe Iglehart, who won a Tony Award for his performance as the Genie in Aladdin, stars at Louis Armstrong in this new musical featuring hit songs like "When You're Smiling," "I Can't Give You Anything but Love," and "What a Wonderful World." A Wonderful World has a book by Aurin Squire, direction from Christopher Renshaw, and is conceived by Christopher Renshaw and Andrew Delaplaine.

When to arrive: Doors open roughly a half hour before showtime. Give yourself plenty of time to pick up tickets and find your seats. What to wear: Whatever makes you comfortable! Some people dress up for the theater, but there is no official dress code. Children under 4 are not permitted in the theater.
