About the show

Gabriel Byrne's Walking with Ghosts comes to Broadway for 75 performances only. As a young boy growing up on the outskirts of Dublin, Gabriel Byrne sought refuge in a world of imagination among the fields and hills near his home, at the edge of a rapidly encroaching city. Moving between sensual recollection of childhood in a now almost vanished Ireland and a commentary on stardom in Hollywood, he returns to Broadway to reflect on a life’s journey. Adapted by Gabriel Byrne from his best-selling memoir of the same name, and directed by Emmy award-winning director Lonny Price, Walking with Ghosts is by turns hilarious and heartbreaking, a lyrical homage to the people and landscapes that ultimately shape our destinies.

THE PIANO LESSON

August Wilson’s Pulitzer Prize-winning masterwork THE PIANO LESSON returns to Broadway starring Academy Award® winner Samuel L. Jackson, Screen Actors Guild Award® nominee John David Washington, and Tony® and Emmy® nominee Danielle Brooks, directed by Tony nominee LaTanya Richardson Jackson. A battle is brewing in the Charles household. At the center lies the family’s prized heirloom piano. On one side, a brother plans to build the family fortune by selling it. On the other, a sister will go to any length to keep it and preserve the family history. Only their uncle stands in between. But even he can’t hold back the ghosts of the past.

The cast includes: Samuel Jackson, John David Washington, Danielle Brooks, Ray Fisher, MIchael Potts, April Matthis, and Trai Byers.

THE OLD MAN & THE POOL

Award-winning comedian and storyteller Mike Birbiglia returns to Broadway this fall with a tale of life, death, and a highly chlorinated YMCA pool. Birbiglia takes the stage at the esteemed Vivian Beaumont Theater at Lincoln Center to chronicle his coming-of-middle-age story that asks the big questions: Why are we here? What's next? What happens when the itmes at the doctor's office that you thought were decorative become functional? The Old Man and the Pool, which played to sold-out houses in Berkeley, Chicago, and Los Angeles, resonates with audiences ages 12 to 112. It's a hilarious reminder for all of us recovering from failing bodies and a flailing world that laughter is indeed the best medicine.

The cast includes: Mike Birbiglia.
