About the show

Jodie Comer, the Emmy and Bafta Award-winning star of TV's Killing Eve as well as Free Guy and The Last Duel, makes her Broadway debut in the American premiere of Suzie Miller's award-winning play, which takes us to the heart of where emotion and experience collide with the rules of the game. Justin Martin directs this solo actor tour de force.

Tessa is a thoroughbred. A young, brilliant barrister who loves to win. She has worked her way up from working class origins to be at the top of her game; defending; cross examining and lighting up the shadows of doubt in any case. An unexpected event forces her to confront the lines where the patriarchal power of the law, burden of proof and morals diverge.

The cast includes: Jodie Comer.

Summer--1976

SUMMER, 1976

Four-time Emmy Award® winner & Academy Award® nominee Laura Linney (My Name Is Lucy Barton, Lillian Hellman’s The Little Foxes) and Tony Award® nominee Jessica Hecht (The Assembled Parties) return to Broadway in a new play by Pulitzer Prize-winning author and fellow MTC alum David Auburn (Proof, The Columnist).

This deeply moving, insightful piece is about connection, memories, and the small moments that can change the course of our lives. Over one fateful summer, an unlikely friendship develops between Diana (Linney), a fiercely iconoclastic artist and single mom, and Alice (Hecht), a free-spirited yet naive young housewife. As the Bicentennial is celebrated across the country, these two young women in Ohio navigate motherhood, ambition, and intimacy, and help each other discover their own independence. Directing is Tony winner Daniel Sullivan (Proof, Lillian Hellman’s The Little Foxes).

The cast features: Laura Linney and Jessica Hecht.

Grey House at the Lyceum Theatre

GREY HOUSE

When a couple crashes their car in the mountains, they seek shelter in an isolated cabin. Its inhabitants, though somewhat unusual, are eager to make their guests feel right at home. But as the blizzard outside rages on and one night turns into several, the couple becomes less and less sure of what's true—about their hosts, themselves, and why that sound in the walls keeps getting louder.

Two-time Tony Award® winner Laurie Metcalf (A Doll’s House, Part 2) stars in this first-of-its-kind Broadway experience, alongside Emmy® Award winner Tatiana Maslany (Orphan Black) and Emmy nominee Paul Sparks (House of Cards). With direction by two-time Tony Award winner Joe Mantello (The Humans, Wicked), and written by Levi Holloway, GREY HOUSE is a “savvy, smart new play—that just happens to be legitimately terrifying.” (Chicago Tribune).
